Gallery Bio:
I am a 31 year old farmer on a micro goat dairy in Wake, Virginia where we make goat cheese while practicing sustainable ways of living. Part of my role here on Mother Earth is to be a steward of the land, and regenerative practices such as permaculture have helped me learn how to listen, respect, and connect with nature and community. I chose to be a farmer after years of working as an artist when I became completely disillusioned with the way our society functions and the systems in place, especially in the repeated destruction and abuse of the earth. For me, small, organic farming catering to the local community is a direct action to combat industrial farming and production that relies heavily on the use of toxic chemicals and fossil fuels in order to grow food and ship it across or outside of the country. I am an advocate for equality of all peoples, love and cycling.
